You can count on Hagen Dental Practice to provide you with the smile you've always wanted. We are here to make sure your teeth are healthy, but we want them to be beautiful, too.

We've increased our cosmetic dentistry offerings significantly over the years.

Do you like your smile?

Consider Your Teeth Traits

  • Alignment and Spacing
  • Color
  • Harmony and Balance
  • Length
  • Missing Teeth
  • Proportions
  • Smile Line
  • Texture and Characterization

Have you ever stood in front of a mirror and given yourself a big toothy grin? Consider what you do and don't like about your teeth. Areas to asses include teeth color, shape and size. How is the spacing? Any missing teeth? Stains? Old fillings?

Dr. Hagen and his staff can help define areas of concern and establish a treatment plan to correct them. Hagen Dental Practice offers many possible solutions for any of your cosmetic concerns. Dr. Hagen can replace, restore and change the appearance of your teeth by filling spaces, repairing chips and concealing stains.

Straighten with Invisalign

Invisalign is an orthodontic system made up of a series of custom-made clear aligners that straighten your teeth. These nearly invisible devices are comfortable and created specifically for you from a 3-D model of your mouth. Each set is worn for 20 to 22 hours every day for two weeks. Invisalign works by moving your teeth millimeter by millimeter until the desired result is achieved. Invisalign is removable, so eating, brushing and flossing are not problems.

Invisalign's teeth straightening process can take up to two years, but because it is comfortable, it has many advantages over traditional metal braces. Invisalign can work for a wide range of patients. It can spread crowded teeth, close gaps or correct shifts that may have occurred in patients who wore braces as children.

Primarily, Invisalign treatment works best for mild orthodontic cases and minor corrections. They are most popular with professionals in their early 30s through mid 40s. They aren't recommended for teenagers or those in their early 20s.

If you are going to use Invisalign, it is very important that you are dedicated to treatment. You must wear the aligners all day, every day, and follow through on all your appointments to ensure that the results are successful.

The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is the safe, effective and fast solution for brightening and whitening teeth. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom! Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results.

The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. Teeth typically become at least six to 10 shades whiter, sometimes more. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. With proper care and an occasional touch-up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.

As an alternative, Hagen Dental also offers home tray whitening kits that allow you to whiten your teeth yourself. Dr. Hagen will provide a tray and the whitening solution you need. After a few short treatments, your smile will be whiter than ever before.

Great smiles help you to stand out in a crowd, so be sure to ask us about one of these whitening options next time you visit us.

Dental Veneers and  Dental Crowns

Dental veneers and crowns are natural dental treatments that leave your teeth looking and feeling healthy. Veneers are shell coverings placed over teeth to enhance or correct their appearance. They can be used to close spaces, increase size, change color or straighten the looks of your teeth. Placing veneers on teeth or filling a tooth to match the natural color of your teeth can make a big difference and provide you with a clean, healthy look and a more youthful smile.

Composite or porcelain laminates that are adhesively bonded to the surface of a tooth to correct and repair chips and cracks will improve a worn appearance or severe tooth discoloration. Veneers may also be recommended if you have gaps in your teeth or if you have not had success with teeth whitening.

A crown is similar to a cap on a tooth. It covers the tooth above the gum to restore its function and natural look. There are a variety of materials used to construct crowns. We can even produce crowns that look and feel like your real teeth. Full porcelain crowns can match existing teeth in color, shape, and luster.

Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth root and crown replacements that are used as a part of prosthetic (artificial replacement) dentistry in order to compensate for tooth loss. Often the result is not only an enhanced smile, but also a more youthful appearance, since missing teeth cause the face to collapse, making you look older.

Some things to keep in mind

A major smile makeover can take a while. Start now! Call, email or visit us to talk about what you do and don't like about your teeth. For significant treatment, allow at least a few months ahead of your big event for your appointment. More comprehensive orthodontic treatment may take years to complete. But the results are well worth it.

From small changes to total smile makeovers, Dr. Hagen and his staff can help make sure you have your chance to shine.

Hagen Dental Practice’s Oldest Patient Keeps Her Teeth in Top Shape

At 95 years young, Gladys Troescher is Hagen Dental Practice's oldest patient. But according to Dr. Hagen's staff, this sweet and stylish woman certainly "doesn't look or act it."

A patient since 1994, she says, "Dr. Hagen and his staff have saved my teeth."

She keeps an appointment at Hagen Dental Practice every three months. And although she's had a lot of work done to her teeth over the years, including a lot of crowns, she is proud that she still has her own teeth. Even more, she enjoys her regular visits to the office.

"I really like Dr. Hagen and the staff," she said. "They are very helpful and nice."

Gladys has lived in Western Hills for the last 32 years.

What is the secret of her longevity? Gladys has a lot of friends, likes to read, watches movies and TV and loves listening to music. She enjoys being part of a Bible study group and interacting with her friends. She also completes puzzles to keep her mind sharp.

She is happy to do her own laundry and is rightfully proud that she is so self-sufficient at her age. She also has a great potato soup recipe.

Her advice is simple: "Just take life one day at a time," she said.

Our Patients are the Best

Allergic to Latex? Don’t fear, Hagen Dental Practice is Latex Free

According to the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, latex allergies affect between 5% and 15% of health care workers and approximately 1% of the general population. If you are affected by latex allergies, there is no need to worry because Hagen Dental Practice is completely latex free.

People who are allergic to latex can suffer from many reactions, ranging from sneezing and a runny nose to anaphylactic shock, with symptoms including difficulty breathing, nausea, and loss of consciousness.

Although anyone can develop a latex allergy, the people most at risk are those who have undergone many operations and those who have a food allergy.

"All patients can feel safe when visiting Hagen Dental Practice, knowing that the entire office is latex free," said Dr. Hagen.
